1981 Harley-Davidson FXWG original factory flame job. If you're looking at this you probably already know how rare and desirable these bikes are becoming. Here is a gorgeous two owner example of Harley-Davidsons first factory "chopper". This one is a mostly original example, missing only the original air cleaner and exhaust, console trim and original handlebars. The original speedometer is included with the bike as well as all paperwork back to when the bike was purchased new in Pennsylvania.
The engine was rebuilt by the original owner 2500 miles ago to stock specifications and I have the original pistons, valves, springs and cam that also go along with the bike. The original black paint shines and the factory flame job is in amazing original condition. This bike runs and rides amazing. I just took it on a 200 mile ride through the Northern Arizona mountains yesterday and it performed flawlessly. I'd love to keep this one, but I need to make room in the garage. Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2013 Sales Results
Mon, 28 Oct 2013Harley-Davidson reported a 15.5% increase in motorcycle sales for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2013 compared to the same quarter last year. The news caps off an important quarter for Harley-Davidson that included the company’s 110th anniversary celebrations and the launch of its 2014 lineup including the new Twin-Cooled engines and Project Rushmore enhancements.

The B-day celebration will be followed by a V-Twin Cruise-In on July 13 and punctuated by a summer-long exhibit entitled Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels. The July 12th birthday party is open to the public and the $95 ticket price puts you in the company of Arlen and other customizing aristocrats and also includes cocktails and dinner.
