Harley-Davidson Bobber description

2013 After Hours Bikes ratbike with a 1975 Harley Davidson Shovelhead with 4 speed trans.  Purchased the frame as a roller from After Hours Bikes.  Did the rest of the work myself.  Bike has air ride on the front with an AC compressor belt driven off the crank to raise bike.  Bike has rigid rear, but tire is so large with very little air pressure, so bike rides very nice.  Used as much brass as I could find, look at pics, lot of details.  Gas tanks are made out of Desoto valve covers, with shot glasses expoxied into spark plug holes. The back of the tanks are all braised, again as much brass as possible.  Handle grips and gas cap all cast brass custom out of Croatia.  Bike has suicide clutch with side shifter, very comfortable to ride.  Seat is hinged with BMX bike under.  I followed Todds lead from After Hours Bikes (look them up online) I added a little twist by using the AC compressor to supply air for the air ride.  Please look at pics and ask questions.  Will assist with shipping at buyers cost.

A couple of weeks ago I suggested that if you haven’t attended a flat track, aka dirt track, race, you’re missing some of the best racing in the motorcycle world. That still holds true, but I’ve got another form you’re probably not seeing. Drag racing!

What’s next for Polaris?

Wed, 20 May 2009

Polaris Industries, the parent company of Victory Motorcycles, announced this week it will form a new on-road vehicle division. The official announcement says the new division “maximizes cohesive and strategic growth for Victory Motorcycles and other on-road products and brands”. Which begs the question: what other on-road products and brands?
