Ducati Supersport description

2011 Ducati 1198sp sport bike in black and red !! Original owner, didn't push bike and has 2040 miles of highway riding. Has titanium Termignoni exhaust which sounds awesome.
Carbon fiber, Ohlins front forks, single sided swing arm, Ohlins ttx rear shock, slipper clutch, lightweight aluminum tank, last of the trellis frame and in fantastic red color, lightweight wheels, steering dampener and magnesium sub frame.

This bike has all the electronic software and mechanical hardware, including DTC (Ducati Traction Control), DDA (Ducati Data Acquisition), Ohlins suspension, Brembo monobloc brakes and Marchesini seven-spoke forged aluminum wheels. New for the SP is DQS, Ducati's Quick Shifter system that is the first for any Ducati production bike. Also new are a ramp-type slipper clutch fitted as standard and the larger, aluminum 4.8-gallon fuel tank from the R Corse model that saves two pounds compared with the 1198's 3.8-gallon plastic tank.

Bike has a few normal scratches from wear and tear and 1 of the side mirrors was cracked but was glued to tighten it. Awesome bike with a long life still ahead for the right customer. Not too many v-twin types left out there and this bike is a beast as it has torque for days. I just don't ride no more and it's just sitting and wasting away so need to sell. Has brand new battery and runs in great condition. If you are picky and looking for a brand new bike with no wear, then dont bother asking for this bike. This bike looks great and looks almost new but there is some tiny scratches that you have to look hard to see and if that affects you then this is not the bike for you.

AD UPDATED 10/5 ACTUAL MILES IS 2040 MILES

You can see video of bike started and running.

Federico Sandi Loses Ducati 1199 Panigale Superstock 1000 Ride – Again

Thu, 03 May 2012

For the second time this season, Superstock 1000 Cup racer Federico Sandi has lost his ride on a new Ducati 1199 Panigale race bike. Sandi was cut loose from Liberty Racing in March after the team decided to focus its resources on a four-rider World Superbike effort. The 22-year-old racer then landed with Althea Racing, the team that captured the 2011 Superstock 1000 Cup as well as the 2011 WSBK Championship with Carlos Checa.

Robbie Brown gets World Superstock wildcard

Sat, 14 Jul 2012

Ducati Manchester's Robbie Brown is about to take on the biggest challenge of the year as he enters World Superstock 1000 as a wildcard at two rounds. The 848 Challenge series leader is standing in for Alexey Ivanov and will ride the Ducati Panigale at Brno, Czech Republic on 22/07/2012 and Silverstone, UK 05/08/2012. Robbie has taken 6 wins in the series so far and worked up a commanding 62.5 point advantage in the series to his nearest rival in 2nd position.

Rainy BSB tests are nothing new

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

THE combination of bad weather in the UK and a European testing ban means that most BSB teams will now start the season with very little track time. This sounds like a disaster for the top teams but history has proved this isn’t necessarily true and it sometimes doesn’t matter how much pre season preparation has taken place.  Back in 2002 Sean Emmett won on the IFC Ducati at the opening Silverstone round after first riding it in unofficial practice the same weekend. Steve Hislop took the other win on Pauls Bird’s well sorted Ducati. More recently in 2009, Leon Camier took an untested new model R1 Yamaha to victory at the Brands Hatch opener after GSE took delivery of the bike just the week before. Sylvain Guintoli won the other race on a well developed, well tested Crescent Suzuki. You could argue if no one has had testing then it is a level playing field but you have to feel for riders moving up to the superbike class in the world’s toughest national series.  Tyco Suzuki’s PJ Jacobson is one such rider but having spent some time with him over the past few weeks he seems to be taking it all in his stride. It may be the confidence of youth or maybe the fact he has won in every other class he has entered in his short BSB career, but I suspect he fancies at least standing on the Superbike podium at Brands (He also does a bit of ice racing which is not dissimilar to the this year’s UK testing).  The testing ban was implemented with all the best cost cutting intentions and if it had been any other year in the past decade all would be well. The teams may be feeling frustrated but the fans should be excited. With so many unknowns, the 2013 BSB opener at Brands Hatch could be the best ever!
