Ducati Superbike description

2007 Ducati 1098 with 10500 miles. I did the 7500 mile service last summer. Brand new battery. Oil change within the last couple hundred miles. The tread on the tires is good. All work performed by Ducati Dallas AMS, and I have documentation to prove it. During the 7500 mile service, Ducati Dallas AMS changed the spark plugs, timing belts, changed the chain, and checked the valves, etc. I have a clean title.

There are some minor issues. The lock doesn't work, and hasn't since I bought it. I never bothered to fix it. As you can see from the pictures, there are a few minor blemishes in the paint. A former owner must have dropped the bike. But the blemishes are very minor. The check engine light occasionally comes on because of some weird European law that says bikes can't be too noisy. The Ducati Dallas AMS people assured me that this in no way impacts the performance of the bike. Sold as is.

Loved the bike, but I'm moving soon and I need the money to finance the move.

Ladies and gentlemen, the 2014 MotoGP season has officially begun, as bikes have started circulating around the Qatar circuit. This season has been filled with drama as Honda and Yamaha continue to fight for top honors. Valentino Rossi to Ducati? Not so fast!

Thu, 05 Aug 2010

In today’s news that really isn’t news, an interview of Ducati CEO, Gabriele del Torchio, by Bruno de Prato found on Cycle World’s website on August 3rd, reveals the CEO speaking in a matter-of-fact tone about Valentino Rossi’s status as a team member on Ducati’s MotoGP effort. In the CW article, Del Torchio states that the 2010 racing season “will not bring to Ducati any crown in the sport,” but that he looks “forward to Valentino Rossi teaming up with Nicky Hayden.” “Nicky is a wonderful person and a great rider. This year, he greatly contributed to improving our Desmosedici racer.

Church of MO: 2002 Buell XB9R Vs. Ducati 900SS

Sun, 20 Mar 2022

Well lookit that: I was already a Buell apologist 20 years ago. The low-handlebarred XB9R was Buell’s first with the sweet Verlicchi fuel-in-frame design, but it was the XB9S that came out the following year that we still covet. Meanwhile, taste may finally be catching up to the new Ducati 900SS Pierre Terblanche designed in 1998.
