Ducati Superbike description
2007 Ducati Superbike 1098 S, 1098S with all the goodies and LOW miles! - One of our customers brought us this incredible 1098S with only 804 miles. A one owner bike, this one has all sorts of cool goodies already added on, such as Akropovich exhaust, Shiftech carbon rear fender, Ducati Performance red silicone hose kit, Rizoma clutch cover, Speedy Moto pressure plate and more. This one has spent just about it's entire life under a cover while the owner was overseas on deployments. New tires were just installed, and new belts were installed as well. Outside of some small surface rust from sitting, and a small scuff on the lower, this is in really good shape and is ready for a new owner that has the time to ride. THE MOST POWERFUL, LIGHTEST L-TWIN SUPERBIKE IN HISTORY The new 1098 S is the highest performance Ducati street bike ever made. Reducing weight even further and the addition of world-class components make the "S" ready to deliver the dream of owning the ultimate Superbike. The fully adjustable 43 mm Öhlins FG511 forks, which sport low friction Titanium Nitride fork sliders, respond effortlessly to every imperfection in the tarmac. Beyond their advanced engineering solutions, one of the most important characteristics of Öhlins forks is their ability to communicate the condition and quality of the tire-to-road contact patch, putting the rider in total control. The suspension system is completed and perfectly balanced with a fully adjustable Öhlins 46PRC rear shock with a ride enhancing top-out spring, controlling the single-sided swingarm for outstanding drive, traction and steering precision. The Öhlins package is completed with a control-enhancing adjustable steering damper. The "S" also sets a new standard for lightweight performance. On any sport or race bike, the most effective area to reduce weight is its "unsprung weight." This is achieved through reducing the weight of components such as tires, brakes and wheels. Lighter wheels have a lower "moment of inertia" that is beneficial with every direction change and application of the brakes. The 1098 addresses this important area by mounting Marchesini forged and machined wheels, reducing weight by 1.9 Kg (4 pounds). The weight saving is further enhanced with the application of a carbon fiber front fender and seat fairing cooling ducts.

New Spy Photos of 2013 Ducati Hypermotard/Multistrada 848
Fri, 15 Jun 2012New spy photos have emerged of what appears to be either a Ducati Hypermotard 848 or perhaps an 848 version of the Multistrada. Photos of the new liquid-cooled Ducati emerged last month but these new images show the motorcycle in motion and from the left side. At this point, we’re still not sure if this is Ducati‘s new Hypermotard or Multistrada.
Nuggets from Estoril
Tue, 03 May 2011HRC Executive Vice President Shuhei Nakamoto and Ducati General Director Filippo Preziosi attracted some major media attention as they enjoyed a lengthy but very public chat in the Estoril paddock. Some speculated they were chewing the fat over Stoner’s brilliance now that even Rossi is struggling to get close to the podium on the D800cc Ducati. Others had no doubt it was the rule change for Moto GP machines moving to 1000cc in 2012 that was being debated.
Panoramic from WDW2012
Fri, 29 Jun 2012Never in my life have I seen so many Ducatis, but then that's hardly surprising as I took this photo at World Ducati Week 2012, in Misano, last week. Although I knew it was going to be packed from wall-to-wall with the Bologna-made bikes, I never realised there would be so many Panigales there. Of all of the big-cc sportsbikes, I reckon one in five was a Panigale.
