2005 Ducati Superbike 749, I have owned the bike since early 2011. I bought it with about 11K miles and it now has a little over 18K. The bike was fully serviced at the time I bought it and I had an oil change and service before I stored it the end of 2011 when I moved out of the country. The bike has been stored in a garage since the end of 2011, it has been started once a week. I now live in a small town in AZ for work and riding is not as enjoyable. The bike is completely stock, and in great condition (never been down). Please reference an owners manual online for spec questions as there are too many to list here. The bike is in need of tire, and I have taken that into consideration when setting my asking price but the price is negotiable, within reason. Ducati Confirms Checa For 2013, Althea Out
Mon, 29 Oct 2012As the Ducati Factory World Superbike team finalizes its plans for the introduction of the 1199 Panigale into the series, two things are certain: 2011 champion Carlos Checa will be the team’s lead rider, and Team Althea Racing, who have worked with Ducati since 2010, will not be the team’s sponsor. The first bit of news shouldn’t be a surprise, as Checa has been helping the Bologna factory develop the Panigale since mid-year. Checa won the 2011 championship with a masterful display of domination on the 1198, a model many believed to be dated and an underdog before the season began. Details of Checa’s new contract with Ducati have yet to be released other than his role in continuing to develop the 1199 and being the team’s lead rider next year.
Carlos Checa Tests Superbike-Spec 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale at World Ducati Week
Thu, 21 Jun 2012Revellers at 2012 World Ducati Week got a surprise treat with defending World Superbike Champion Carlos Checa completing an unscheduled test of the WSBK-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale. The Althea Ducati racer has ridden the production version of the Panigale but this marked his first test of the WSBK-spec version. His maiden ride of the WSBK Panigale was supposed to take place at Mugello but instead Checa and Ducati decided to give the Ducatisti a treat at the Misano circuit for WDW.
