Ducati Superbike description

Putting my 2005 Ducati 749r up for sale. Looking to get into a 1199r and wish I could keep it. This bike needs absolutely nothing. Over the past winter I basically restored the bike to as close to new as possible. Has new Belts, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires, Driven sprockets and DID stealth chain, Race Air filters, Redline oil and fluids, Shori Battery, EVR 48 tooth clutch basket and sinster discs, ducabike clutch springs and bearings for the factory ducati performance slipper clutch, and fresh paint. The valves where also checked and all in spec (have the specs written down) and replaced all seals and busing on valve cover itself. All done at 8500 miles.

Info on the bike and it's history if you are not familiar with "R" bikes, this is a rare race breed street bike made especially for WSBK racing regulations.

Upgrades:
Termi exhaust with carbon shield
Microtech ECU (tuned by DucShop)
Custom aluminum battery stay (TH3 Racing)

848 build blog : 42 days to go

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

With just 42 days until the British Superbike season starts and the 2012 848 Challenge riders head to Brands for the first of eight rounds, I thought you'd like to see the lastminute.com preparations and hard graft going into my bike to get it ready for the season ahead. Instead of ending the season in one piece, I highsided in Race 1, buggering the bike and busting my shoulder. The bike and I have been feeling very sorry for ourselves ever since.

Massimo Tamburini: 1943 – 2014

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

Massimo Tamburini, creator of some of the industry’s most iconic motorcycle designs, has succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70. Tamburini was diagnosed with the disease last November and underwent chemotherapy treatment but passed away April 6. Earning renown for designing motorcycles such as the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4, Tamburini’s name will be forever linked with those two companies, as well as Cagiva and helped found Bimota (Tamburini is the “Ta” in the company’s name.) Ducati Diavel Carbon, with a cherry on top

Sat, 05 Feb 2011

Here at the launch of the Ducati Diavel, there's a Diavel Carbon on display with a few extra Ducati goodies, including the 20mm lower 'Touring' seat. It's trick.. The only thing I'm not so sure about are the wheels, which are black and metal cut finish, as standard on both bikes.
