2004 Ducati 998 Matrix Edition. Very limited production (1 year only, about 250 made). Factory green paint. Adult ridden, and well cared for. About 12500 miles on it. Newer tires, oil changed recently. Upgrades include : SILMOTOR carbon fiber exhaust, carbon fiber heel plates, heat shield, chain guard and sprocket cover, piepercross air filter, integrated rear tail light/ turn signals and open clutch cover. Dyno tested at 114 HP at the rear wheel with a very good power band. Rear stand included with "buy it now" price. NEVER ON A TRACK! Has a couple minor scratches and scuffs, and a crack on the bottom left fairing near the kickstand. (see pictures). If you would like more pics, I can add or send you more. This is a very sweet ride that turns heads everywhere. I have gone on several long trips (600+ miles in a couple days) with it and can honestly say it's fairly comfortable, even with 1 back surgery and another on the way! Buyer is responsible for pick up and/or setting up shipping. I will gladly work with your carrier to arrange pick up. $400 deposit via paypal within 48 hours of purchase. Last year, Chris Fillmore and the wicked KTM 1290 Super Duke R set a record in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, completing a 19.99 km course with 156 turns in 9 minutes 49.625 seconds. But back in 2012, the Ducati Multistrada went out of 10 minutes and became the two-wheeled route record holder.
848 Challenge heads to Holland
Thu, 12 May 2011This weekend sees riders and teams heading across the North Sea to the famous Assen TT circuit for Round 2 of the Rapid Solicitors Ducati 848 Challenge. After two stunning opening races at Brands Hatch BSB three weeks ago, the expectation is that the racing will be similarly closely fought and exciting at the historical home of bike racing. Leon Morris left Brands with a double win, continuing his strong form from last season and will no doubt be the man to beat in Assen, while Darren Fry, the current Champion, will hope for better luck this weekend after breaking his coccyx at Brands Hatch in a heavy crash. But the Buildbase/JHP Ducati team-mates will be wary of the challenge from Mike’Spike’ Edwards (MSKWorks.com), who will be riding his upgraded Ducati 848EVO for the first time this weekend, and Mark Cheetham (Shorrocks Motorcycles) and Kenny Gilbertson (Art of Racing/Boast Plumbing) who were the main challengers for podium finishes three weeks ago.
