Ducati Superbike description

Ducati 999 Fila

For sale is a Fila Tribute or Recreation as termed in the auto world. This is not a true "factory" Fila. This bike is as good if not better. The original owner was an exotic motorcycle collector. This collector had a passion for building the best that he could hand in hand with a Ducati Technician on every build. The bike has 3301 original miles and was basically built from the crate. The bike is not a storied crashed fixed up p.o.s. The decal kit is perfect in every symmetrical way. The clear coat is one of the nicest that I have ever seen on a custom, even factory bike. ALL decals lay under clear. The bodywork could be sold to the most discerning Ducati guy and be passed off as ORIGINAL OEM Fila. The bike has Ohlins forks and steering. Full Termignoni system. Reference pics for aftermarket anodized bits and certain magnesium parts. The bike is truly perfect in every way. I was quoted at a $30k build. Now I myself am not a huge aftermarket or non original fan but the bike caught my attention. It truly needs to be seen to be appreciated. Runs rides perfect!!! If you want a unique 999 without a true Fila tag here it is. I have found a replacement and this I would like to pass on to someone who appreciates it for what it is.

I collect Ducati motorcycles and am better at buying bikes than selling them. I always encourage prospective buyers to call me personally for a verbal description. Words convey way more than text. My cell is 603.674.5572. I am on the east coast just north of Boston and can be reached from 7 am to 9 pm.

Bayliss and Marinelli Part Two: Technical Features of the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale [Video]

Thu, 24 Nov 2011

A couple of days ago, we shared a fun video featuring three-time World Superbike Champ Troy Bayliss and Ernesto Marinelli, head of Ducati’s superbike program talking about the new 1199 Panigale. While that video was cute with some entertaining interaction between the two long-time collaborators, it was rather light on information about Ducati’s latest superbike. Today, we have a second, lengthier video featuring Marinelli and Bayless offering a more technical look at the Ducati 1199 Panigale.

The 2013 season marks a number of changes for the Ducati MotoGP program.

Up Pikes Peak in under 10 minutes

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

Join Grey Tracy as he romps up the Pikes Peak hill climb in under 10 minutes on a Ducati Multistrada. Tracy finished second to Carlin Dunne, but still managed an impressive time of 9:58 as he tackled the daunting 14,000ft climb. He's quick and as a YouTube commentor pointed out: "Every time you were on the white line I cringed for a second" To which Tracy replied, "Me too!"
