Description: This is an excellent running street legal Italian Import offered with the Ducati brand Rear Wheel stand and an additional Ducati fuel reservoir. It is a beautiful 2002 Ducati Superbike 748s that runs and handles any technical or non technical street excellently. The Decals are all reflective and look great at night. All lights are working well with no deficiencies.  I do not to ride at this point in my life which is why I am selling it. There are pictures for all cosmetic deficiencies. Vehicle has been garaged it's whole life. Under a Maine State title.
Service: The vehicle received its full service last at the 9,000 mile mark, which included a new fuel line. In April of 2015 at 11,800 miles it received new front fork Showa shocks due to a leak as well as an entire fluid flush and refill.
History: I am the second owner of this vehicle which I purchased in 2011 from a Navy Chief Petty Officer who brought this back with him while on Tour in Italy. When he returned back to the states he had it modified to adhere to US Federal vehicle regulations. I purchased the vehicle in purchased in Kentucky, and it has moved with me my throughout Military changes of duty stations. It has been housed in TN, GA, CO, NH and now ME all while maintaining a NH Certificate of Title. It recently changed to a Maine state Title and is currently not registered as I do no want to pay anymore massive excise taxes on vehicles in the town of Waterville.
Buyer: A 500 dollar down payment within 24 hours and cash or a cashiers check at time transfer of bike is required. I am willing to transport the vehicle within an hour of Waterville, Maine (to include Portland). The buyer is responsible for pickup and transportation outside of that to include arrangement of shipping. I am willing to load it for shipment if need be.

Wrooom 2012: Fun and Games for Rossi and Ducati Before Going Back to Work on MotoGP Project

Fri, 13 Jan 2012

The pressure is on Ducati and Valentino Rossi this off-season to revamp the Desmosedici for the 2012 MotoGP Championship after a lackluster 2011. But that doesn’t mean Vale et al can’t have a bit of fun at the annual Wrooom press event held jointly between Ducati‘s MotoGP team and Ferrari‘s F1 squad. Rossi took part in a pair of four-wheeled races on the frozen lake at Madonna di Campiglio where Wrooom took place.

Back when GPs were really good: Part 2

Rossi versus Gibernau at Brno in 2003. Most of the time Rossi and Gibernau came together, it was a classic in the making but while Rossi on the factory Honda hunting down Gibernau on the satellite Honda is well worth watching, the threat of a looming Bayliss on the Ducati makes this one even better. Gibernau, fresh from a win in Germany at the previous round - having beaten Rossi to the line by 0.060 seconds - was full of fight.

Ducati Multistrada Ready for Serious Update?

Tue, 13 Jan 2009

This fabed-up image from a French magazine of what a new Ducati Multistrada might look like is more like a fable than fact. If nothing else, the Internet is great for generating entertaining rumors, speculative talk, spewing hearsay, etc, etc. With the exception of chatter on where the next lucky third-world orphan to be assimilated by Brangelina might come from, nothing seems to spread faster than talk of a venerated bike receiving a thorough update.
