Ducati Other description

Up for sale is a pristine 2016 Ducati Scrambler ICON.  Seller purchased it new in August 2016 from the local Ducati dealer.  The Scrambler has been carefully broken in, 600 mile service with Ducati oil and filter.  The Scrambler is so much fun to ride: quick, light, terrific ABS brakes and handles superbly.

The Scrambler comes with factory ABS brakes, all books and paperwork and 2 keys.

The Scrambler is a one-owner vehicle with clean title, no drops, scrapes, nicks or dings.  Everything is just as pictured; there is not one thing wrong with this motorcycle.

Various options are included:

1) Exhaust system, dealer installed at time of delivery (original, unused exhaust is included)
2) Dart flyscreen
3) Kick stand extension plate (makes for a more solid contact with the ground)
4) Dealer installed accessories plug (plug in 12-v accessories)
5) Booster Plug (improves throttle response, removes jerky low RPM running, reduced puffing for the aftermarket exhaust)

Seller is an experienced eBay member, be sure to check my feedback, including other motorcycle sales.

Original list price is $10,934.  Extras add up over $850 above the list price.  I'm starting the auction, no reserve at more than 30% off dealer list price.  Buy it now price is included until a bid is tendered.

The Scrambler is no longer insured and the plate has been returned to DMV so it will not be ridden until the new owner does so.  No test rides, it operates exactly as it is designed to do.

Collector’s Item: Ducati Diavel AMG, the Mercedes-badged Audi

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

As expected, Mercedes-Benz’s performance division AMG announced it is cutting ties with Ducati following the motorcycle manufacturer’s acquisition by rival car-maker Audi. AMG released a brief statement saying, explaining the split and saying it we never in the running to purchase Ducati: “Since the end of 2010 a successful marketing cooperation has existed between AMG and Ducati. The company takeover by a rival car manufacturer has understandably resulted in the end of any further collaboration.

Ducati 1199 Panigale On The Dyno

Mon, 23 Jan 2012

Italian magazine Motociclismo is one of the largest and most influential motorcycle publications in all of Europe, and they’ve captured this clip of a Ducati test rider running the new 1199 Panigale on the dyno. Rider wearing full gear aside (he even flips down his faceshield!), what sticks out to me is how quickly the new Superquadro engine accelerates through its rev range. I was also impressed at the length it took before the rev limiter was reached.

Anti clockwise Knockhill and riding in the North East with GP winners.

Wed, 06 Jun 2012

I was both nervous and excited for my first ever reverse direction track day last week at Knockhill. From rushing downhill into the left hand off camber hairpin to sweeping up onto the start/finish, nothing bears any resemblance to riding round clockwise. I actually raced my 350LC in the opposite direction in 1982 but it still took a few laps to get my head round what essentially is a brand new track for Scotland.
