The Diavel Strada, a touring-oriented version of the Italian devil that adds such niceties as a windscreen, saddlebags, higher handlebars with heated grips, and a plusher seat that includes a passenger backrest. While this would seem to dilute the animalistic appeal of the original Diavel, the Strada actually makes a bit more sense as a complete package – a comfortable and potent bagger, like an Italian-style Street Glide, the best-selling motorcycle in America. A Street Glide, however, can’t match the Diavel’s 9.95-second sprint down the quarter-mile, as evidenced in the shootout listed above with the Cromo version of the Diavel. The 1198cc V-Twin kicks out 135 horses to a fat, 240mm rear tire, giving the 527-pound Diavel a potent power-to-weight ratio. The Strada version, at 540 pounds with its 4.5-gallon tank full, should be almost as quick.

Financing is available with approved credit!

We also have extended warranties available for this motorcycle and are willing to ship worldwide!

Ducati 1199 Panigale Superquadro Engine to Power Volkswagen XL1 Sport

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Ever since Audi acquired Ducati, we’ve been anticipating the first cross-brand technological developments between the Italian motorcycle maker and the German automaker. Sure, there have been some cross-promotional tie-ins, but we’ve been waiting with baited breath to see what Audi, and its parent company the Volkswagen Group, had planned with Ducati‘s small engine technology. Well we don’t have to wait for much longer, as VW Chief Executive Officer Ferdinand Piech revealed the first product of the “DucAudi” union in a speech at the University of Vienna: a new sports car concept called the Volkswagen XL Sport powered by the Superquadro engine from the Ducati 1199 Panigale.
