Zemke and Ducshop Racing Seek Donations to Race AMA Daytona Sportbike

Ducshop Racing and Jake Zemke are appealing to the public for donations to fund their AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship effort. Zemke is currently fifth in the championship riding the Ducati 848 EVO, an impressive feat for crew comprised entirely of volunteers. As good a run as Ducshop has been on, the team lacks the funds to complete the rest of the season.

Ducati unveiled its Desmosedici GP12 race bikes in on online presentation streamed over Facebook. With the machine officially revealed, the pressure now turns to factory riders Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden who try to rebound in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship after a difficult 2011 season. The 2012 livery adds a touch of green striping resembling the tricolore version of the Ducati 1199 Panigale S and celebrating the company’s Italian heritage.

Ducati Forms New Brazilian Subsidiary After Collapse of Importer Izzo

Ducati announced the start of a new wholly-owned subsidiary for the Brazilian market after its former importing partner, the Izzo Group, ceased operations. The Izzo Group shut itself down earlier this month following a slow decline. At one point, the Izzo Group was one of Brazil’s largest motorcycle importers, with a list of manufacturers including Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Husqvarna, MV Agusta, Triumph and Zero.
