Ducati Dealers Top 2014 Prospective Shopper Satisfaction Study

Ducati dealerships were rated the best in the U.S. motorcycle industry at how well they deal with potential new customers. The Italian manufacturer earned the highest score out of 17 major brands in the 2014 Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index, the firs time Ducati topped the annual Index since 2009.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. 1199 TerraCorsa

Looking like something from Mission Impossible II, this 1199 Panigale S has been given the off-road treatment by MotoCorsa, a Ducati dealer based across the pond in Portland.The bike features a Desert Storm paint job, a stock 1199 exhaust and a custom crash guard. MotoCorsa’s General Manager Arun Sharma said that they “dropped the forks as low as we could in the triple and raised the shock’s ride height as much as possible; the idea being to max out the ground clearance.”“There’s all these guys saying ‘that’s so stupid’ or ‘why would you ruin a good bike like that?’ Well, why not just have some fun and be silly?”The bike’s been taken on a 1200 mile adventure and apparently performed faultlessly across all kinds of terrain. MotoCorsa plan to make another video where the bike is taken off-road again, then driven into the garage before being prepared for a track day.
