Ducati Other description

Up for sale is my 2008 Ducati Sport Classic GT1000 in the nice two-tone silver/grey color scheme. This bike looks and sounds great and gets frequent compliments.

It has always been garaged and meticulously cared for throughout the time I've owned it. The previous owner was an older gentleman who also took great care of the bike. It has no mechanical issues, is in excellent cosmetic condition, and been serviced regularly by a certified Ducati mechanic (can provide service records) at all the proper intervals -- most recently in June 2016. The reason I am selling is because I already own 2 motorcycles and need to make some room in my garage.

I've ridden it primarily for pleasure. Mileage is currently just over 10k. It's been a really fun and very reliable bike with many more years and miles of riding left for a new owner. Just in time for fall - arguably the best riding season.

I kept the bike primarily stock with the exception of some of the most necessary and top of the line performance and cosmetic upgrades totaling over $2,500. The upgrades include:

- Highly sought-after and difficult to find Termignoni exhaust (awesome sound and huge improvement over stock)
- Pilot Road 3 tires
- Rizoma Spy R bar end mirrors and Rizoma Sportline grips
- Ducati comfort seat (same classic look, but much better for longer rides - Ducati doesn't make this anymore)

Set the fixed price listing at a fair price (under blue book value not including upgrades) compared to the current pricing of other GT1000s, especially with the quality upgrades. If you're familiar with this bike, you know it was only made from 2007-2010 and the bike has only gone up in value since then. I'll also throw in a touring windscreen, saddle bags, and a tank bag with the sale.

Buyer responsible for shipping costs, however, I will help coordinate with your shipping company if necessary. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of sale. Thanks for looking.

Ducati Fills Top Positions At Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Wed, 02 Jul 2014

Ducati riders achieved the Middleweight Division victory and four of the five top motorcycle times of the day at the 92nd running of the historic Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, held last Sunday, June 29. This year’s introduction of new rules and new motorcycle racing divisions, including the “Motorcycle Middleweight Division” and “Motorcycle Open Division,” brought with it a field of strong competitors challenging for top times. The introduction of the “Motorcycle Open Division” – which allowed fully faired liter bikes to compete in the same class as the defending champion Multistrada 1200 – made it the most competitive motorcycle class and the one in which the top five times of the day were posted.

MotoGP to Hold Official Test in Argentina; South American Nation Returning to Calendar for 2014

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Dorna Sports announced there will be a MotoGP test at Argentina’s Circuito Internacional Termas de Rio Hondo in July to allow teams to prepare for the track’s expected addition to the 2014 MotoGP calendar. Argentina was actually supposed to join the MotoGP tour this season, but the round was scrapped because of a dispute between the country and Spain after the Argentine government seized control of a Repsol subsidiary. Repsol is, of course, a prominent sponsor of several teams including Honda‘s factory team.

2015 Ducati Scrambler Spied + Video

Wed, 11 Jun 2014

Just days after Ducati officially confirmed it will introduce its new Scrambler this fall comes a spy video of the new bike undergoing some regulatory testing at Ducati’s Bologna factory. Filmed by spy image agency BMH Images, the video provides a fairly good glimpse of the Scrambler, albeit with all sorts of testing equipment and at times a large aluminum shroud (listen to it scrape the ground at the 16 and 43-second marks).
