This bike features Ohlins front forks, Ohlins rear TTX shock, Stalane GPS laptimer, accossato throttle, Folding and lenght adjustable levers, Ducati 1040 cc kit, Ohlins stearing damper, aftermarket clipons, alluminum yoyodyne subframe, 520 DID race chain kit and modification to allow rear 200x60x17 race slick, Sharkskinz superbike race bodywork with race seat, race carrozzeria alluminium wheels with extra set of galfer full floating rotors practically new, front and rear pittbull race stands, lightweight speedcell battery, race air filter, Front fairing stay lighweight alluminium - Yoyodyne, Quick shifter and Microcell programmable ECU with program and harness connection to PC for fuel mapping, Keyless Ignition switch, Keyless lightweight fuel cap, Westhold CCS race datalogger, clutch and waterpump covers, Arrow race slipons, carbon Lorain race break pads, rear linkage (Ducshop), . This weekend sees the running of the most famous car race of them all, the Le Mans 24hrs, and to be a driver of one of the front-running cars has got to be fairly high on the list of jobs that will make ladies swoon. Speed, danger, noise, fame, physical fitness and lots and lots of money, the key elements of any top-line race series, tend to ensure that its star competitors manage to appear cool. But the latest press picture from Yamaha – publicising the firm's link with (Yamaha shareholder) Toyota's Le Mans effort – manages to strip away every last shred of of swagger from the team's drivers by plonking them on Yamaha EC-03 electric scooters.

Things are coming along nicely in the Speed Triple camp. I’ve finally removed my gaffa tapped heated jacket controls from the tank, and fitted a pair of Bridgestones sticky but durable BT-16’s. Last week a huge box full of R&G crash protection stuff arrived so that will be fitted at the weekend for peace of mind, just as well really because the Triumph now feels like a finely tuned scratcher thanks to a recent new discovery.

Report: Ducati Sold to Audi for US$1.13 Billion

Reuters is reporting Audi has reached a deal with Investindustrial to acquire Ducati for a price of 860 million euros (US$1.13 billion). Citing two unnamed sources familiar with the deal, Reuters reports the purchase price includes Ducati‘s debts, estimated by one of those sources at below 200 million euros (US$262.6 million). As previously reported, the deal will be officially announced April 18, ahead of the annual shareholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.
