At the heart of the Multistrada 1200S Touring is the Testastretta 11 DS motor. Based on the 1198 Superbike's power plant, the Testastretta 11 has superbike levels of power but with improved reliability and more time between major service intervals. Another amazing feature of the. The Multistrada 1200S Touring standard with 4 different riding modes; Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro. Each mode changes the levels of horse power, throttle response, traction control, suspension and ABS. All these rider aids can be adjusted as well to suit each rider s preferences. The Touring edition also comes standard with heated grips, 57 liters of side luggage and a center stand for practicality. Updates for 2013 include new fairing, new wind screen, new LED headlight, Dual Spark motor, and Ducati's semi-active Skyhook suspension. The Graturismo also comes equpied with full luggage, safety bars, and LED touring lights.

The bikes are merely street-legal dirt bikes without much accommodation for creature comfort. So, spending 220-ish miles flat in the saddle from Las Vegas, NV to Palmdale, CA, mostly on Interstate 15, is a platform for cataloging discomforts, and after riding approximately 360 miles, mostly off road over the two previous days, my aches-and-pains were legion.

REIGNING MOTOGP World Champion Valentino Rossi has been out on four wheels again - this time joining his motorcycle racing buddies at Jeepers Kart track, Cattolica.The nine-time world champ, who recently announced he is to race for Ducati from 2011, was joined by Marco Simoncelli, Andrea Iannone and Mattia Pasini at the karting venue.Rossi, an accomplished racing driver, turned down an offer to move to Ferrari F1 in 2011, after impressing team bosses when he drove the squad's 2009 car in Spain.
