2003   DUCATI   Multistrada   1000DS   (Dual – Spark)

    First year of the fabled Multistrada by Ducati featuring a 1000cc Desmodromic Dual Spark V-twin motor.  Fully adjustable suspension and ABS braking combine to offer one of the best ‘adventure bike’ rides available wrapped in a Italian suit.  Very capable with exotic styling, glorious exhaust note and bullet-proof power from one of Ducati’s best ever.

Very original and Extremely clean.   Virtually New with 6,010 on the odometer.   Digital dash w. tach

This Multistrada has received the Ducati adjustable lowering kit so it can accommodate shorter riders.

Equipped with factory option saddlebags, Fantastic Termigogni exhaust and PSR clutch slave.   

Always serviced by Ducati with extensive service file and all manuals included.  

Recently refreshed with fluids changed, New brake master, New oil lines, New battery and air filter. 

Only significant flaw is a rock chip in the headlight lens and the oem rear tire should be replaced soon.

Always garaged and Meticulously cared for by mature rider.

Former Ducati Owners Investindustrial and Mahindra Make Competing Bids for Aston Martin

Ducati‘s former owner Investindustrial is ready for its next big acquisition, reportedly submitting a bid to acquire a stake in Aston Martin. Investindustrial is reportedly competing against Indian car and motorcycle maker Mahindra & Mahindra for the stake in the British car company probably best known for its association with the fictional spy James Bond. According to Bloomberg, Investindustrial has submitted an offer of nearly 250 million British pounds (US$400.7 million) for a 40% equity stake and 50% control of voting rights for Aston Martin.

Effenbert-Liberty Withdraws from Superstock 1000 Cup – Two Less Ducati 1199 Panigales in Competition

Mere days after promoting racer Brett McCormick to its World Superbike team, Effenbert-Liberty Racing has announced its withdrawal from the Superstock 1000 Cup. Effenbert-Liberty was one of the higher-profile teams that were planning to compete in the Superstock 1000 Cup on the Ducati 1199 Panigale. Until this week, the team had planned to field McCormick and Federico Sandi in the Superstock series alongside its three-man WSBK team of Sylvain Guintoli, Jakub Smrz and Maxime Berger on the Ducati 1198.

Bayliss Retires from Motorcycle Testing

Retired World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss announced he is retiring once again, this time from his duties as a test rider for Ducati. Bayliss, who retried from racing after winning his third WSBK title in 2008, had been working with Ducati, most notably as a test rider for the Ducati 1199 Panigale. Bayliss tweeted (@TroyBaylisstic) his intention to no longer test on June 23, just hours after beating Valentino Rossi in the finals of the Diavel drag race at World Ducati Week 2012.
