Moto Guzzi Griso Se R. Race Suspension. Rides Like A Monster; Looks Like Art!!! on 2040-motos
Ducati Monster tech info
Ducati Monster description
Condition. Perfect. The only things that don't look new are the tires and a tiny patch on the side stand from grounding it on a corner. ie it did not fall over, but from a fast left hander then hitting a bump mid corner, the tip of the side stand grounded. The Tenni racing green is made famous by the legendary V8 Guzzi racers of the 1950's, and makes it look just drop dead gorgeous. If I didn't have so much money invested in this bike I would hang it on the wall as a piece of art rather than sell it. But, next year I am riding from Wales to Mongolia so need to get an adventure bike and start practicing, so something has to go.
Specification. I wanted a Griso but since I am also a Ducati sports bike rider, wanted it to go round corners too. There are sooo many Monsters on the road but I have never met another Tenni Green Griso SE. The stock Griso is ponderous on tight corners and agressive braking, so I made quite a few changes to get it right. Power is adequate since the technique is holding momentum rather than point and shoot style riding. It works beautifully.
- Mistral carbon fiber muffler
- Rizoma bars and risers (to lower bars)
- Dunlop D211 GPA AMA race tires. About 500 miles on them
- Matris "racing" shock and fork kit as used in Griso race series Italy
- New battery, HT leads
- Dyno tuned
- Vesrah race brake pads
- All original parts eg muffler, mirrors, tools, manual, spare key, DVD etc
History. I bought it new from Guzzi experts Moto International Seattle (see pictures). Servicing has been done locally in Portland by Cascade Classics and EDR Performance. It has never ever been crashed, scraped, dinged, touched against a wall or any of the other stories you hear. It has carefully been washed by "soaking" the bugs off first, then gently washing the dirt off with hot water & detergent, then clean water, then dry clean cloth. Rides have been in OR back roads usually 1 - 4 hours duration. It has had one track day at PIR.
Owner. I am 55 years old and a continuous rider for 40 years of more than 120 bikes. Love this bike...it is gorgeous and turns heads everywhere, but, I need to get an adventure bike and something has to go. Title is OR free and clear. I am the only owner.
NOTE: would consider trade for 2012 Ducati 1098S Streetfighter in titanium/red.

Audi and Ducati Announce “Come Together” Contest at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb
Fri, 10 Aug 2012Ducati and its new owner Audi announced a new contest ahead of the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The two brands used the rescheduled competition as one of their first collaborative promotional opportunities since Audi acquired Ducati earlier this year. The 90th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb also provided the opportunity to present two models, the 2013 version of the Ducati Multistrada 1200S Pikes Peak Edition and the Audi RS 5.
Ducati Hypermotard with Zero Emissions
Sun, 10 May 2015Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali was amazed by an electric bike that he saw at one of his company's Thai dealerships the other day. It turned out that the dealer sells within the walls of his center not only Ducati motorcycles, but also Zero emissions electric bikes. However, the latter didn't sell very well, and he decided to attract buyers by building a test-drive e-bike with Ducati Hypermotard looks and some Zero FX parts and reasoning that it would be easier to send a customer to the track in a Ducati, and only then transfer to Zero.
