Ducati Monster description
2013 DUCATI MONSTER M1100 EVO, The bike is here, see AND DEMO RIDE this all new bike. Monster 1100 EVO In the world of Ducati naked motorcycles, the less is more concept means less is monster. Simply put, less weight equals more fun. And for 2011, Ducati improved on this concept with their Monster 1100 EVO. The machine mixes a 100 hp Desmodue Evoluzione with a dry weight of 371 lbs, and all the latest in electronics, including the new Ducati Safety Pack, which features ABS plus Ducati Traction Control. The 1100EVO is the most powerful, two-valve Ducati engine every built. The power is contained in a chassis that's designed for unrivaled agility and handling, making the Ducati Monster 1100 EVO the ideal street machine. And when it comes to styling, the naked bike features many tasteful features, including low-level, cannon-style silencers on the right side of the motorcycle, and 10-spoke rims with a design carried over from the Streetfighter and 1198. The 2013 Monster 1100 EVO carries on the Monster legacy Ducati presented to the world in 1992, one that's minimal in stature but features the latest in technology. * Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) if shown for a vehicle excludes set-up, freight, taxes, title, licensing or other dealer charges, and is subject to change. Many hands make light work...
Wed, 27 Apr 2011This was the sorry looking JHP Ducati after Darren Fry crashed it in qualifying on Sunday before the first race of the championship. Fry broke his coccyx in the crash but, fortunately for Fry, it took around 10 people just over 3 hours to get the bike ready to race, as can be seen in the picture below. Hats off to Darren Fry for racing the bike over the rest of the weekend.
Casey Stoner's trick kart
Thu, 19 Apr 2012The other day Casey Stoner tweeted this shot of this factory looking kart, which the reigning champion has been customising during the MotoGP downtime between Qatar and Jerez. Stoner became hooked on karting after taking part in the ice-race at the Ducati/Ferrari Vrooom event in 2009, beating F1 driver Felipe Massa in the process. Not only a hobby, Casey uses karting for training, as the Australian says there are physical benefits as well as to his reflexes.
