2012, Ducati, 1100 EVO, ABS, Monster, This beautiful one of a kind Ducati Monster was custom painted by Jody Matsler The handlebars, handlebar clamps, triple trees, headlight bezel, and rear shock spring were powder coated black and the exhaust tubes were ceramic coated satin black Other modifications include: Competition Werks rear fender eliminator, Competition Werks stainless steel Slip-On baffle, BMC high flow air filter, complete computer ECU remapping, Lightweight 14 tooth front sprocket, Rizoma weighted handlebar ends, Rizoma bar end mirrors, Rizoma clutch, front brake and rear brake fluid reservoirs. This was a winter project, 1475 miles, and is still covered under the full factory warranty. This Monster looks, sounds, and performs better than anything new, off the showroom floor. Prince William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles
Mon, 02 Dec 2013The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.

The bikes are merely street-legal dirt bikes without much accommodation for creature comfort. So, spending 220-ish miles flat in the saddle from Las Vegas, NV to Palmdale, CA, mostly on Interstate 15, is a platform for cataloging discomforts, and after riding approximately 360 miles, mostly off road over the two previous days, my aches-and-pains were legion.

Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
