Ducati Monster description

I'm selling my fast, low-end powerful, 2012 Ducati Monster EVO 1100 (ABS + DTC) with Termignoni Exhaust, Race ECU, Red Rizoma Handles and matching Handlebar Brake / Clutch Reservoirs.

The motorcycle runs like a Monster.
Mechanically = No current issues
Electrically = No current issues. Recently, a new starter and battery was installed.
Aesthetically = No eyesore blemishes.

Current Miles on Bike = 3,700.
Clean Title, No Liens, Title in hand.
Warranty until March 2014.

Specifications can be found here: http://www.mbike.com/ducati/monster-1100-evo/2012

I am the original owner. I've babied this motorcycle since I first bought it from New Rochelle Ducati (now out of business). It was stored in a climate controlled warehouse last winter. Always covered when not being used. Never been dropped or abused. I complied with the break-in instructions by Ducati, never banged the engine over 7K after the break-in period. The rear seat fairing was scuffed by a bookbag, which damaged the pin-stripes. The rear seat fairing, currently, is not on the bike. You can have it if you want. It looks better without it.

I had the bike first serviced by http://www.crosscountrycycle.net/, Metuchen NJ. (around 1,200 miles).

Changed the oil and filter myself around 2,400 miles.

Recently, had a service for new battery and starter, along with oil change (3,600 Miles), point inspection, and chain adjustment. Had to have starter changed out, according to service tech, the starter's windings failed.

I'm selling my Ducati because I want to upgrade to a long distance touring motorcycle. I hate to say, but I bought this bike impulsively. My loss is your gain.

As part of this purchase you will get:

  • 2012 Ducati Monster EVO 1100 (ABS + DTC) with Termignoni Exhaust, Race ECU, Red Rizoma Handles and matching Handlebar Brake / Clutch Reservoirs
  • Two Keys.
  • The "code card".
  • Manual, and a digital copy of the Shop Manual.
  • Two genuine Ducati Performance Saddlebags, and its mounts (it cost me $500+ when I first bought the bike).
Please feel free to ask any questions.

Please be prepared and serious about purchasing my motorcycle.

A $500.00 deposit is required after purchasing. Full payment within 3 days.

I will not be responsible for the shipping (delivery) of this motorcycle outside the five boroughs of New York City. You may pick up the motorcycle if you are outside the aforementioned area.

Upon purchase, deposit, full payment, and an agreed day, I will ride (deliver) the motorcycle to your home or place of preference within the five boroughs of NYC, as long as it is not in a crime laden area. Please have Cash in hand or full payment already through PayPal.

All sales are final. No Refunds.

Thank you.

Ducati Confirms Checa For 2013, Althea Out

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

As the Ducati Factory World Superbike team finalizes its plans for the introduction of the 1199 Panigale into the series, two things are certain: 2011 champion Carlos Checa will be the team’s lead rider, and Team Althea Racing, who have worked with Ducati since 2010, will not be the team’s sponsor. The first bit of news shouldn’t be a surprise, as Checa has been helping the Bologna factory develop the Panigale since mid-year. Checa won the 2011 championship with a masterful display of domination on the 1198, a model many believed to be dated and an underdog before the season began. Details of Checa’s new contract with Ducati have yet to be released other than his role in continuing to develop the 1199 and being the team’s lead rider next year.
