The bike has never been down, has run high octane gas, and has always been stored in a temperature-controlled garage. The bike has under 4,100 highway commuting miles. It is aesthetically and mechanically in top condition. Standard dealership maintenance includes the 600-mile service and a second oil change. The next service is at 7,500 miles, and regular services are only required thereafter every 7,500 miles. Rossi and Hayden Debut Ducati Desmosedici GP12 at Sepang MotoGP Test
Tue, 31 Jan 2012Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden got their first taste of the new Ducati Desmosedici GP12 race bikes at the official MotoGP test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. It’s only the first day of the pre-season test, and Ducati spent much of its time trying to establish a base setup for the rest of the three-day test. Rossi logged 43 laps and his best time was 2:02.392, fifth fastest of the test and 0.735 seconds behind leader Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha.
Troy Bayliss and Ernesto Marinelli on the Ducati 1199 Panigale [Video]
Tue, 22 Nov 2011Three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss and Ducati Superbike Project Director Ernesto Marinelli sat down together to talk about the new Ducati 1199 Panigale in a new video released by the Bologna manufacturer. The video was shot in a split screen format with the two men answering questions about Ducati‘s new superbike. Of course, the video feature the two lauding superlatives on the 1199, but it does offer some amusing moments such as Bayliss’ “Superquadro” face pictured above and the two men doing their impressions of how the Panigale sounds rocketing down the straight of the Mugello circuit.
