Ducati Monster tech info
Ducati Monster description
For sale is a low mileage 2005 Ducati Monster 1000 DS. Adult owned. This Bike is in excellent condition, has been well maintained and is currently registered. (It passed state inspection on 5/14/16) The "DS" designates that this motor uses 2 spark plugs per cylinder head.
I bought the bike used from Great Bay Motorcycles in NH in 2007 with 2,827 miles on it. It has always been garaged since I've owned it. The Bike is all stock except for the Ducati Performance slip on's. I put new Pirelli's on it last season and they still look like new. I replaced the clutch with a Barnett clutch @ 13,900 miles. The cam belts have been changed at around 12,000. The valves should be checked at the next service interval (18,600 miles) and the drive chain will need replacing in the near future. This bike has not been in any accidents and has not been down or fallen over. The right rear turn signal arm has a crack in the plastic and is covered with electrical tape shown in the photo. The bike starts, runs and drives excellent. There is a factory seat cowl that comes with the bike and I tried to show it with and without in the photos. The front and rear rims have some small chips along the edges that have been touched up with a small brush / paint. The title is clean and in my possession. I have all 3 original keys that came with the bike. I would prefer to sell locally but if you make arrangements I will accommodate a transport company. I will accept a $1000. deposit through PayPal. The balance in a cashier's check or cash. This item has a no return policy. |

Is Ducati Preparing a 659cc Single?
Wed, 28 Sep 2022We’re now a couple of episodes into Ducati‘s 2023 World Première launch series, but there are still another five parts to go. Ducati has already started teasing this week’s episode, which we expect will be for a GSA-battling Multistrada V4 variant, with a new Panigale V4 R, a Diavel V4, and a next-generation Scrambler expected in the weeks ahead. None of these models we expect come as much of a surprise.
Is This a Ducati Multistrada 848 or a Hypermotard 848?
Fri, 18 May 2012Spy photos have emerged of what appears to be a new liquid-cooled Ducati model As you can tell from the utilitarian-looking exhaust, it’s still a prototype, but the production version could be ready for this fall’s EICMA show. It’s not clear at this point whether this new model will be a new Hypermotard or possibly a new mid-sized Multistrada. At first glance, the front “beak” fender and hand guards evokes the existing Ducati Hypermotards, but existing Hypermotard 796 and 1100EVO are both air-cooled and this model is liquid-cooled.
Ducati Restructures Presence in India, Cutting Ties with Distributor Precision Motor
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Ducati announced it is ending its relationship with importer Precision Motor and setting up its own operations in India. Precision Motors has been Ducati’s official importer since 2008, but the relationship has soured recently with reports of poor customer service and delays in deliveries. Ducati will now begin establishing its own dealer network in India, likely relying on the resources of parent company Audi and other Volkswagen Group brands.
