Ducati Monster description

Im selling my 2002 Ducati Monster S4. The bike has 9964 miles. It has always been garaged. Its in excellent condition and the only flaw I could visibly see is a scratch on the rear turn signal. The bike has never been dropped or laid down. The tires still have some miles left in them which you can see from the picture. The battery has been replaced in September 2013 and the fuel pump lines are also new. The bike starts on first click of the button and runs great. Recently the basic maintenance on the bike (oil, filter, plugs) was performed. The bike has many aftermarket and performance parts and accessories. Here is a list of some details: 916 cc, liquid cooled, L-twin, four-stroke, 4 valves/cylinder, fuel injection, 6 speed transmission, dry clutch, open clutch cover, Ohlins steering damper, Titanium Termignoni exhaust, Evoluzione clutch slave cylinder, Evoluzione kickstand bypass, Cycle Cat Titanium triple clamp, Cycle Cat riser/clip-on adapter, Cycle Cat multi-adjustable risers, Cycle Cat clip-on bars, open air box lid, K&N air filter, carbon fiber front fender, carbon fiber rear hugger , carbon fiber exhaust shields, carbon fiber cam belt covers, Marchesini rims, Yuasa battery (8/2013), Brembo brakes, and bar end mirrors.

Nuggets from Estoril

Tue, 03 May 2011

HRC Executive Vice President Shuhei Nakamoto and Ducati General Director Filippo Preziosi attracted some major media attention as they enjoyed a lengthy but very public chat in the Estoril paddock. Some speculated they were chewing the fat over Stoner’s brilliance now that even Rossi is struggling to get close to the podium on the D800cc Ducati. Others had no doubt it was the rule change for Moto GP machines moving to 1000cc in 2012 that was being debated.

New: Leatt STX Road neck brace

Tue, 22 May 2012

Update: Read the Leatt STX Road neck brace review here. I've recently taken delivery of a Leatt STX Road neck brace for review. Leatt are a familiar sight in the off-road fraternity but not in the world of road riding or road racing.

Ford Ranger Wildtrak: part three

Fri, 16 Apr 2010

Clocked over five thousand miles in the Ranger, lugging bikes to track events, back to importers and dealers, that sort of thing. It’s freeing up, especially the suspension. I can drink a cup of coffee now without inhaling it.
