Seller can be reached at (626) 483-6033 Information of Rocket Goldstar The final and most exciting of BSA's long line of pre-unit 646cc parallel twins, which started with the Golden Flash back in 1949, launched in Feb 1962 comes the mighty Rocket Goldstar. Production with 1584 bikes of which 272 were off road scramblers. With a specially tuned A10 Super Rocket engine in the well proven BSA Goldstar frame, BSA created a very fast bike for the time with good handling that became an instant classic. 9:1 compression Super Rocket engine was used with a Spitfire performance camshaft and an Amal Mono carburetor gave 46 bhp as standard. Options as this unit, with two into one exhaust pipes , close-ratio RRT2 gearbox, Aluminum alloy rims, Daytona front hub could increase to 50 bhp and add 30% to the price. Nine specials were made for export to California. Some Histories This particular bike based on VIN - GA101622 is only 18 numbers after the one sold in Silverstone Auction in 2011.
