Barn find indian chief  1947,   bike is as found ,  good rider and runner. wheel bearing have been greased or replaced,new old looking paint,cleaned out tanks and carby, the rest of the bike is as found. the motor is a 1948 or later motor with inbuilt scrapper.

beautiful bike, runs & rides nice, engine is strong, no funny noises or smoke. I recently got it, and dont know the history of it, other than riding it myself to see tha everything works as it should. It doesnt have a speedometer cable, but the speedo looks to be rebuilt, with only 2 miles on it.charging system, clutch, trans, motor, etc all see to work as they should. title matches frame number 3476583, motor is also a 47, CDG5567 feel free to ask any questions.  Shipping is up to the buyer, but I can get it shipped anywhere in the USA for 450, and this is with a dedicated m/c shipper, not some uship clown hauling washing machines & goats.

I am selling a 1947 Indian Chief motorcycle.  This bike has won First Place in local bike shows in the Antique Category.  It is truly a one of a kind.  Everything you see in the pictures is included such as extra fenders and two gas tanks.  It is a beautiful bike and 75 percent original.  Has not been driven or started for 8 years and there are less than 500 miles on the rebuilt 74 cubic inch engine.  Included with the sale are other spare parts such as a horn, chrome fender inserts, assorted nuts and bolts, date specific manual and other manuals and a few quarts of oil.   Buyer is responsible for pick-up, bid on this before it gone because it will not last long.  Happy bidding!

Listing my 1947 Indian Chief Motorcycle. I went thru and completely restored this bike about 2 years ago. I found it in about 200 pieces in a barn on the Western end of the U.P.

1947 Indian chief basket case.Comes with frame, Complete forks, front and rear wheels, complete engine and transmission requires rebuild does not turn over. Also has front and rear drums,axles, handlebars,, gas tanks and rear fender. Please review all pics carefully before bidding.

1947 Indian Chief, I purchased this Indian from the ORIGINAL OWNER recently. It is all original, except it was painted 40 years ago and a 12 volt gen. was added 10 years ago (original gen, included).

1947 Indian Chief , 1947 Indian Chief, 74 cu in/1200 cc motor with stock frame, gas tanks, transmission and motor. Front end is a stock 1958 Harley Wide Glide and a Fat Bob Rear Fender. I am the 2nd owner and have owned for the past 45 years.

Up for sale is a fully restored 1947 Indian Chief Motorcycle. If you are in the market for one, I doubt you will find one in nicer condition. I am listing this motorcycle for my neighbor Harold, since he doesn't use ebay.

A really nice older restoration of a 47 Chief, the bike was correctly mothballed and stored soon after restoration due to ill health and has just been resurrected.The bike has an age appropriate California 47 yellow plate and new tags for one year.The current owners father was an excellent mechanic with a collection of vintage Indian and Harley Davidson bikes which I am bringing back to life one at a time.At the time it was stored all fluids were drained and refilled with inhibiting oil, the tank interiors are as new.The bike starts readily cold or hot, the compression is excellent as it should be with only 4000 some miles since rebuild.I have put about 60 miles on the bike and it is mechanically quiet, rides and shifts beautifully and has excellent brakes.The chrome parts are good to excellent and there are are only a few small storage scuffs on the paintwork.Everything on the bike works as it should and I would have no problem doing a long trip on it.The color scheme was originally all red, however a small number of Indians were sold with the red/black color scheme in 47 only and it was changed to this during restoration.There are some period accessories such as screen and bags which are included with the sale.Even though restored, this is a 66 year old bike, and as such is offered "As is Where Is" with no warrantee expressed or implied.The seller will help with shipping logistics, however all shipping costs are solely the buyers responsibility.A non refundable deposit of $500.00 is required within 24 hours of sale, (Paypal ok), with the balance due by wire transfer only, or cash if picking up, within seven days.
