For sale: 2013 Can-Am Spyder RS-S SE5.
I bought my Spyder on May/30/2013 from Michael's Reno PowerSports. It is in excellent condition - with only 6800 miles. This bike has never been in an accident or needed any repair/warranty work. It's a sweet ride! The only thing cosmetically wrong is that there are a few indentations from my bungee cords on the rear side rails - soft rubber! (I strap my beach towel, and sometimes a second helmet to these rails. You will have the same issue if you strap anything down. It has always been garaged, and only ridden from June - October; about 2200 miles each summer. I live in Texas, but come to Lake Tahoe to spend the summer. Unfortunately I will not be returning to Lake Tahoe next summer hence the need to sell. It is financed through Sheffield Financial - so there is a lien on the title. I have a black Shoei helmet, a white Bell helmet, and a black Can Am Spyder cover that are included with the sale. I was not really sure what to sell my Spyder for. The Kelly Blue Book says Trade In - $9480, Retail - $13,040. I figured this bike should bring close to retail since it is in perfect condition; however I should deduct for shipping. All Original. No modifications have been made. I will only accept payment by Cash in Person, Bank wire transfer or a cashiers check, if paying with a cashiers check I will hold the title until payment/title is cleared. Buyer must collect or arrange transport. This vehicle is being offered as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Will The Bombardier Trailtrike Make Trikes Cool?
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Charles Bombardier, creator of the highly controversial Can-Am Spyder and grandson of the man who invented the snowmobile, thinks he has an idea to make trikes cool. It’s a tall order, considering most motorcycling circles banish three-wheelers as some kind of second class device, not worthy of mingling with true two wheelers. While Bombardier’s Trailtrike still has two wheels in front and one in back, he tells Popular Science the difference is that the Trailtrike can be ridden both on- and off-road.

2013 Can-Am Spyder RT and ST Models Recalled for Fire Risk
Fri, 30 Aug 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for all 2013 Can-Am Spyder RT and ST series roadsters because of a risk of a vehicle fire. At the moment, a recall has only been announced for Canada but a representative from Bombardier Recreational Products says agencies in other countries such as the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are also preparing for a recall.
