Can-Am SPYDER RS-S SE5 description

For sale: 2013 Can-Am Spyder RS-S SE5.

I bought my Spyder on May/30/2013 from Michael's Reno PowerSports.  It is in excellent condition - with only 6800 miles. This bike has never been in an accident or needed any repair/warranty work. It's a sweet ride! The only thing cosmetically wrong is that there are a few indentations from my bungee cords on the rear side rails - soft rubber! (I strap my beach towel, and sometimes a second helmet to these rails. You will have the same issue if you strap anything down. It has always been garaged, and only ridden from June - October; about 2200 miles each summer. I live in Texas, but come to Lake Tahoe to spend the summer. Unfortunately I will not be returning to Lake Tahoe next summer hence the need to sell. It is financed through Sheffield Financial - so there is a lien on the title. I have a black Shoei helmet, a white Bell helmet, and a black Can Am Spyder cover that are included with the sale. I was not really sure what to sell my Spyder for. The Kelly Blue Book says Trade In - $9480, Retail - $13,040. I figured this bike should bring close to retail since it is in perfect condition; however I should deduct for shipping.

All Original. No modifications have been made.

I will only accept payment by Cash in Person, Bank wire transfer or a cashiers check, if paying with a cashiers check I will hold the title until payment/title is cleared.

Buyer must collect or arrange transport.

This vehicle is being offered as-is with no warranty expressed or implied.

It is the buyer's sole responsibility to verify the existence and condition of any equipment listed. Please contact me prior to bidding on the vehicle if you have any questions about the vehicle. I am very proud of this motorcycle and would love to see it go to someone that will appreciate it.

Buyer is responsible for registering the Can-Am with your local DOT.

2013 Can-Am Spyder RT and ST Models Recalled for Fire Risk

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

Transport Canada announced a recall for all 2013 Can-Am Spyder RT and ST series roadsters because of a risk of a vehicle fire. At the moment, a recall has only been announced for Canada but a representative from Bombardier Recreational Products says agencies in other countries such as the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are also preparing for a recall.

Can-Am Announces 2015 Spyder F3 and Biketoberfest Contest

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

Can-Am/BRP has just taken the (photographic) wraps off the 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3! Although little official information is available, we can take some educated guesses based on what we can see in this photo plus the spy shots we published a couple weeks ago. The new, more aggressive front end prominently features a radiator grill, which we expect will provide the increased cooling required by a beefed up version of the liquid-cooled Rotax 1330 ACE in-line 3 cylinder mill currently powering the Spyder RT tourer.

Bombardier Designs Alternative-Fuel Unicycle

Tue, 17 Mar 2009

Not only has Bombardier designed and built snowmobiles, planes, trains and the Can-Am Spyder, the privately held Quebec-based company also tinkers with prototypes like the Embrio – the French Canadian answer to the Segway Human Transporter and resembles closely to the “Uno”. Unlikely to ever see actual production, this one-wheeled concept uses gyroscopic technology to balance its rider. The vehicle was allegedly designed to demonstrate what we bipedal humanoids might be using for transportation in the year 2025.
