The M1 had been more of an engineering exercise to see what could be achieved with the available technology of the day and it is possible that the GL1500 engine designers drew some inspiration from the earlier work. All new bodywork on the GL1500 almost enclosed the whole machine and the single key operation of the trunk and panniers, as well as the bodywork design on which not a single screw or bolt could be seen, showed that the Honda designers had spent a lot of time on this bike.

Can-Am/BRP has just taken the (photographic) wraps off the 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3! Although little official information is available, we can take some educated guesses based on what we can see in this photo plus the spy shots we published a couple weeks ago. The new, more aggressive front end prominently features a radiator grill, which we expect will provide the increased cooling required by a beefed up version of the liquid-cooled Rotax 1330 ACE in-line 3 cylinder mill currently powering the Spyder RT tourer.

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.

From the “Answer To Question Nobody Asked” department comes this: wheel adaptors for the Can-Am Spyder to allow more conventional five-lug wheels to replace the standard three-luggers. Available from C & S Custom. C & S says the adaptors are a direct fit onto the existing Spyder hubs, and can accept a 5mm x 114mm bolt pattern which is common on many small cars.
