Buell Lightning description

2007 Buell Lightning XB12SCG with just under 11k miles. Bike is 100% stock. 1203cc, 5 speed, v-twin engine. It was a city bike and has been knocked over at least twice that i can tell. I took this bike in as a trade so i dont know much about it. It is being sold as a little bit of a project. Known problems i noticed are the dented tank and header, rear rocker gasket leak, pegs are not correct, missing mirrors, shifter tip is cracked off and replaced with a bolt. I did ride the bike around the block, it starts right up, sounds good and shifts good. It will definitely need some tlc. great project to keep someone busy over the winter and have a great bike come spring.

Good luck bidding and please check out my other auctions for more buell xb parts. All items are for sale locally so i reserve the right to end this auction at anything.

Yes i will combine shipping on items that end the same day. i will send invoice after the auctions end.

EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America

Wed, 10 Aug 2011

Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.
