Buell Lightning description

This was a one owner Buell which was a trade-in on a new Mercedes-Benz.  Since the Mercedes dealer is not in the motorcycle business they sold the bike to the local BMW motorcycle dealer who I purchased it from.  I am a licenced wholesale dealer and the bike has been my personal rider since February, 2011.The bike had only 877 miles on it from new when it was traded in  by the original owner on the Mercedes. The original owner had the bike in his collection of sport bikes. The bike has never been down and has never been abused and is completely stock. I have installed some high quality bar end mirrors and a slightly taller wind screen as well as a new pair of Buell bags. I have the items which I upgraded and they, as well as the new bags go along with the bike. I have been riding motorcycles for over 50 years and I'm getting ready to buy more of a "sport tourer" type of machine, so the Buell has to go. If I had the garage space to keep the Buell I would do so, but I have too many projects going on, so this bike has to go inorder to make room for another bike. These Harley powered Buells are starting to go up in value, and due to their relatively small production numbers these bikes are beginning to become collectable. As of today the bike has only 2698 miles on it. I may put a few more miles on it before it goes away, but once the winning bid is in I will park it in the garage. If you're looking for a fun and dependable sport bike that's made here in the USA and easy to get serviced, this is the one for you.

EBR First American Sportbike To Score Points In WSBK, Makes History

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

The EBR 1190RX had its best finish to date in the FIM Superbike World Championship (WSBK) series during the only US round at Laguna Seca in Salinas, Calif., this past weekend. In an exciting twist, the wild card entry of Larry Pegram running the #72 Foremost Insurance/EBR/AMSOIL/Hero entry garnered a 14th place finish in the second race, earning the first-ever WSBK points for an American motorcycle manufacturer.  [In actuality, Pegram's EBR crossed the line in 16th place. However, the two Bimota BB3 entries who finished eighth and ninth with riders Ayrton Badovini and Christian Iddon, respectively, have had their finishes nullified all season because Bimota has not met the FIM's homologation requirements.

2015 EBR 1190SX Revealed

Wed, 11 Jun 2014

Erik Buell Racing launches its next salvo to the sportbike market with the 1190SX streetfighter. The 1190SX borrows heavily from EBR’s 1190RX superbike contender that MO’s Troy Siahaan is scheduled to test today at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Although no specs have been released, the SX appears to use most of the RX’s hardware: 1190cc V-Twin engine; aluminum fuel-carrying frame; massive 386mm single-disc front brake.
