Buell Lightning description

Up for sale is a 2002 limited edition Buell x1 lightning, its equipped with a 1203 ccm (73.41), 101 HP V2 four-stroke engine, and is a fuel injected 5-speed. The bike looks great and rides excellent, I am a 60 year old guy and I just can't drive it like I did when I was younger. Hero MotorCorp Buys Half of Erik Buell Racing

According to a press release from Hero MotorCorp, the U.S. arm of Hero, HMCL (NA), has agreed to purchase 49.2% of Erik Buell Racing for $25 million. HMCL (NA) is said to have transferred $15 million to EBR with the remaining $10 million to be paid within the next nine months. Hero says it will have two members and one observer sitting on the EBR board of directors but Erik Buell will continue as Chairman and CEO of the company.

US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results

The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .
