Bimota Tesi 3D tech info
Bimota Tesi 3D description
2008 Bimota Tesi 3D LE(Limited Edition). This is number 05 of 29. Exceptional condition, new Michelin Power3 tires. Comes with original tools, books, workshop manual, specialty tools, original rear shipping stand, and factory indoor cover. Both keys and Zard Exhaust. The condition of the bike is as delivered. This bike is a work of engineering art, the details are only appreciated in person. Best guess is only 27 left in the USA, 2 were sold to collectors in Europe. These bikes do not come up for sale very often. The only minor issues circled in the last two pictures. I also have an auction for my 1995 Ducati 916.
Here is a link to a walk around video of the bike

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements
Fri, 17 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
Bimota to Miss Remainder of WSBK Season
Thu, 28 Aug 2014Bimota has failed to meet the World Superbike Championship‘s homologation requirements and will not be allowed to participate in the rest of the 2014 season. Bimota had been under probation where it was allowed to race but would not receive any championship points for its efforts, until it could produce 125 street legal examples of its BB3 superbike. The probationary period has now ended and Bimota has informed series promoter Dorna and the FIM that it has not met the 125-unit minimum required for homologation.
1998 Bimota 500 Vdue
Fri, 04 Jan 2013How could you not love Bimota's 500 Vdue. Launched in 1998 at a cost of £14,500 it didn't so much come with a list of optional extras, more a lottery list of factory-spec problems, longer than the accessories list on a 1200GS. To me, it sums up Bimota perfectly: ambitious, exotic, problematic and almost impossible to justify and because of this: addictive and alluring.
