I am the original owner of this 2007 Big Dog K-9 Softail Chopper, purchased in March, 2008, for over $35,500.00. It has been well cared for and garaged all it's life. With less than 8,000 miles on the odometer, the Keylime Metallic base coat with Black Flames outlined w/White Pinstripes is flawless. Beneath the matching KeyLime frame are a few of the usual minor scrapes and scratches on the bottom frame rails that any low slung Big Dog has from road use entering driveways, etc, but are not at all visible from above. I mean, literally, you have to lay on the ground flat to see any of it.
Not a tremendous amount of customizing was ever really needed with these bikes (aside from the stock government inspired exhaust pipes), but I managed a few changes described below. Factory features included 117 c.i. (1916cc) S&S OHV 45 degree V-Twin engine, Baker 6-speed tranny, right side "Balanced Drive" belt drive. I have just installed a NEW 300mm rear Avon Cobra tire with less than 50 miles on it. The softail suspension is designed to keep the lines and looks of the Ridgeback hardtail, but rides likes a modern softail. The bike actually rides better than the '04 Fatboy I had. I have had no problems with this bike ever. Two sets of original keys included even with the original Big Dog bottle opener (see pic). The billet license plate holder has been modified to be mounted horizontal or vertical depending on your state law requirements. I have all the original parts on hand that I replaced with custom items, if you want them. Bike needs nothing, buy and ride.
I also have a 2003 Kendon Standup trailer modified to carry this chopper or two full sized motorcycles listed on eBay. Buy this bike and carry it home for a special low price that can be negotiated at time of sale (unless already sold, of course). If the Kendon has not sold, I will consider some sort of delivery within a reasonable negotiated distance. I prefer cash payment. No cash, no rides. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. |
