1954 Other Makes RSY A54 (1954)
This unit was acquired from the estate of the original owner, who acquired it in Japan and then for reasons unknown brought it back to the states, put it in his basement, covered with a sheet and there it sat until his passing. The result, this is a very low mile, all original example of one of the first, if not the first, of a four-stroke motorcycle utilizing a Kawasaki designed and manufactured engine. The third photo is a 150cc example that was sold in Japan, note the Kawasaki Aircraft trademark in the casing. This unit has all the requirements to run, though I've never started it as I didn't want fuel in it and I damn sure wasn't going to ride it. So far as I've been able to determine this is the only example of the RSY known to exist. I don't believe there is an earlier example of a 4-stroke engine produced by Kawasaki Aircraft in the US.2016-08-28 04:45:05Bettendorf, Iowa, United States87515,000.00

Webb Wins Salt Lake City EnduroCross
Mon, 13 Oct 2014From an EnduroCross press release: Factory Beta and Stillwell Performance-backed Cody Webb took a decisive win tonight in Salt Lake City’s inaugural AMA GEICO EnduroCross event. The win was Webb’s second after taking the first round victory in Las Vegas and puts him and his Beta two-stroke 300 into the points lead. The race fans in attendance at the Energy Solutions Arena saw a night go almost perfectly for GEICO-supported Webb.

Truckloads of dirt, mountains of rock and piles of logs are coming together to create an EnduroCross course that’s sure to challenge racers and entertain fans. Excitement will be a mile-high this weekend as the EnduroCross Championship puts three different race winners into an epic battle for valuable points before the halfway point in the series. Beta/GEICO-backed Cody Webb has led since his first round victory in Las Vegas, but KTM’s five-time champion Taddy Blazusiak is hot on his heels after a big win at the last round in Atlanta and at X-Games. 2015 Beta Lineup Revealed

The biggest changes are smaller displacements for most of the four-stroke lineup and the adoption of features previously offered on the Factory-edition variants. Apart from the engines, the two-stroke and four-stroke Beta RR models receive the same chassis updates.

2014 GEICO EnduroCross Series Kicks Off May 2

Entering its 11th season of competition, two new venues will be joining the calendar, allowing more people to witness this exciting indoor off-road racing action. If you’re not familiar with it, EnduroCross tracks incorporate various elements of extreme off road racing into a Supercross-style setting, including rocks, boulders, logs, sand, mud, a water-hole…and even a few special obstacles like giant tires thrown in!
