BSA Rob North Rocket 3 description
This bike chassis was built by Rob North as they were built by the factory for all out racing. It has hand formed exhaust with removable silencer. Original factory fairing mold was used to produce the seat and fairing. Hand formed aluminum petrol tank. Hand made forks by Rob North in the early style disk lower stanchions. North built hubs and drilled brake disks. AP Lockheed calipers and master cylinders. 18" rims to accept modern racing tires. Krober German made tach. Removable frame section to allow engine changes without removing the cylinder head.
The engine was built by Jerry Liggett at TripleTecs in California. Lightened crankshaft, Carrillo steel rods, chrome moly pushrods, Johnson Cams race profile, Venolia pistons, ported and flowed cylinder head with centered spark plugs and 30mm inlet stubs and stainless steel exhaust stubs, 30mm Amal Mk 1 carbs, TriSpark ignition with rev limiter, close ratio conversion gearbox internals and P&M primary belt drive.

The single-cylinder classic Gold Star will enter the European market - a spiritual successor to the original company's lineup, but with a completely modern filling. The novelty is equipped with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, two overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, a working volume of 652 cm3.
Bonhams To Auction Bruce Smith Collection Of Original Illustrations
Fri, 11 Oct 2013On October 20, Bonhams will be auctioning off a collection of original illustrations by Bruce Smith from the 1960s and 1970s. Each one will be signed by Smith on heavy cartridge paper. The collection is comprised of cutaway illustrations of a 1963 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750cc, Chris Vincent’s 1964 BSA 650cc A65 Race Outfit, and a 1966 Greeves Racer, the largest of this series being 45cm x 62cm.
