1937 Bsa 1937 Bsa 500 Sports - Empire Star on 2040-motos
BSA Other description
1937 BSA 1937 BSA 500 Sports - Empire Star.In reality, with engine number HM22, this is a "Sports" in Empire Star clothing. The machine is in fabulous condition having been restored to a very high standard by the previous owner almost 15 years ago. Having said that - the inside of the fuel tank could use a re-coat. The only deviation from standard trim on this one is the previous owner’s fitment of a non-standard, heavy duty spring for the front forks (he was a pretty heavy guy and rode the machine).

What’s Old Is New Again – Video
Mon, 14 Oct 2013There’s something distinctly cool about old British motorcycles. From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s. I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.
