BSA Firebird Scrambler A65F description
Selling a 1969 BSA Firebird Scrambler A65F. I am not a Brit bike expert.
Frame # AC17056A65F Engine # AC17056A65F Matching #s bike Odometer shows 14471 miles ,but I have no idea if this is true. From what I understand, the Firebird is a rather rare bike. Lots of Lightnings and Thunderbolts, but not many Firebirds. This bike runs, idles ,rides, shifts and stops. Tickle the carbs and it fires after one or two kicks cold. The motor sounds healthy with no alarming sounds. I rode it last week on a test ride. It came to me as you see it. Pipes are mounted poorly, and left carb leaks from bowl. It has a stripped bowl screw. Would be an easy restore, or ride as is with some fiddling here and there. There are dings and rust here and there. NH does not issue titles for vehicles this old, therefore I do not have one. Sold with a bill of sale only. Located in East Kingston NH 03827 |

Wed, 02 Feb 2011Paul Teutel Senior of “American Chopper” fame is having a clear-out of his bike collection but the machines on offer are a far cry from the overblown customs he's renowned for building. Instead, they reveal a passion for vintage British machinery. One of his auctions is for a 1943 BSA M20 and it's currently at $4,500 (£2700) with a $5,000 (£3,080) Buy It Now price
Man Builds Sidecar from Bathtub
Thu, 23 Apr 2009Back in 1997, an unusual motorcycle appeared on the front page of the Bristol Evening Post. Unable to afford a costly traditional sidecar, bus driver Alan Iles of Bedminster opted to build his own, using a bathtub. Twelve years later, the 1959 650cc BSA is still going and has been ridden all over Europe to help raise money for Cancer research and various charities, for which he has raised thousands of British pounds.
