UP FOR SALE IS THIS 1969 BSA LIGHTNING. KNOWN IN THE LOCAL AREA AS "THE FALCON". THE BIKE IS A LOCAL CUSTOM FROM THE EARLY 70'S. THE ENGINE AND FRAME NUMBERS MATCH AND THE FRAME IS NOT RAKED
IT HAS A COOL CUSTOM TANK, SEAT AND SISSY BAR. IT ALSO HAS MCM FORK COVERS ALONG WITH A RECTANGLE HEAD LIGHT. THE STOCK GAUGES WORK ALONG WITH THE LIGHTS. IT HAS MANY CHROME PARTS SUCH AS FENDER STAYS,BRAKE ROD, CHAIN GUARD AND SWING ARM. THERE IS SOME PITTING ON SOME OF THE CHROME. THE PAINT DOES HAVE SOME SCRATCHES AND FLAKING. THERE IS A CRACK AROUND THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CUSTOM SISSY BAR AND A CRACK BEGINNING ON THE RIGHT SIDE (SEE PICTURES). IT RUNS AND RIDES GREAT. What’s Old Is New Again – Video

From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s. I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.
