I reluctantly am posting up my favorite bike yet, a 2000 Buell X1 Lightning. It is America's only Sportbike, one which I define as a "muscle bike." It sounds and feels much like a '68 Camaro with a 454, but one that can also corner. ****** Buell didn't produce many of these, just over 1500 of them.****** 2003 Buell Lightning XB9 SL. The "L" denominates "Low". These have a lowered suspension and seat giving a lower seat height. It seems to handle the curves much better than the standard XB9s that I have ridden. The bike has been dropped on the left side resulting in a tank dent and other minor scratches. Bike has following upgrades: Vance and Hines exhaust, K&N air filter, Buell Factory light weight polished wheels, upgraded adjustable clutch and brake levers, new tires (changed since pictures were taken), fresh plugs, Buell racing ECM, Upgraded Works coil over shock with remote resovoir. Bike always stored inside. This is the best handling bike I have ever owned and rides great. The 1203 V Twin engine has impressive torque and overall performance. Very fast and very collectable. We’ve heard that refrain a lot over the years, and it’s no different for the NT1100 sport-tourer. Introduced in Europe in 2022, the NT1100 is a sport-touring model that shares much of its bones with the CRF1100L Africa Twin.
2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 – First Look
Wed, 02 Oct 2024The Svartpilen 801 has a new roadster-styled sibling, as Husqvarna announces the new “White Arrow” Vitpilen 801. Like the Black Arrow, the Vitpilen adopts the 799cc LC8c Parallel-Twin of the KTM 790 Duke, offering yet a new option to the shared platform. Ryan Adams recently reviewed the Svartpilen 801 and found it a “worthy contender in the market that brings its own unique style alongside proven performance.” That theme continues with the new Vitpilen, which brings its own take, with more aggressive ergonomics and a bright splash of color in yellow (a silver color is also available if you prefer something less flashy).
