I AM RELUCTANTLY OFFERING MY VERY ORIGINAL 1956 R50 BMW. I BOUGHT IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER MANY YEARS AGO AND HAVE KEEP IT JUST ABOUT THE WAY I GOT IT. THE BIKE WAS BUILT IN 1956 AND IS REGISTERED AS A 1957. I DID INSTALL THE LARGE TANK, HEADLIGHT MIRRORS, NEW STEERING BEARINGS AND SIGNAL LIGHTS. PAINT, SEAT, SINGLE CROSS SPOKE RIMS ARE STOCK. MILEAGE IS CORRECT. NUMBERS MATCH, BUT THERE WAS NO HEAD TAG WHEN I GOT THE BIKE AND ONE WAS ADDED. HAS ORIGINAL KEYS, MANUAL, PUMP AND TOOL KIT.THE SEAT IS RIPPED AND THE BATTERY IS OLDER. THERE ARE NEW HEIDINEAU TIRES. THE BIKE RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD, BUT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR SOME MONTHS. I HAVE A TRANFERABLE REGISTRATION AND BILL OF SALE FOR THE NEXT OWNER. Isle of Man TT 2014: RL360 Superstock TT Results
Tue, 03 Jun 2014Michael Dunlop won his second race in the 2014 Isle of Man TT and ninth in his career, taking the RL360 Superstock TT on a BMW S1000RR. Dunlop also won the Superbike TT earlier, giving BMW its first two wins on the Isle of Man since 1939. Meanwhile, Supersport TT 1 winner Gary Johnson was injured in a crash on the opening lap while running second behind Dunlop.
CFMoto 650TK Riders Set Record with 21,222-Mile Tour of China
Fri, 20 Dec 2013A couple of adventurers have claimed a new world record for longest journey by motorcycle in a single country after completing a 21,222-mile trek around China. Buck Perley and Amy Mathieson completed their trek, traveling all 33 of China’s provinces in 147 days on a CF Moto 650TK sport-tourer. Guinness World Records still needs to ratify the couple’s journey, but if it stands, they will have surpassed the previous record of 18,041 miles set by Steven H. Siler earlier this year, after he completed his 26-day trip around the U.S.
European Motorcycle Market Down 38% Since 2006
Wed, 25 Jan 2012New motorcycle registrations in Europe decreased 8.9% in 2011, reaching its lowest level in a decade. And with the state of the economy in Europe, things might get worse. According to provisional numbers released by the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers, Europeans registered 1.72 million motorcycles, scooters and mopeds in 2011, down from 1.89 million registrations in 2010.
