Listing this bike for a friend who dos not have an ebay account.You are looking at the 2011 R1200GS, with only 5,214 miles. This bike is in truly like new condition. Other than few light scratches on the windshield, just from cleaning, there is not a mark of any kind that I can see. This is a one owner bike, included is the owner manual and tool kit, just as it comes from the factory. It's equipped with ABS, on board computer, heated hand grips, hand guards and BMW vario expandable cases. It's no exaggeration to refer to this bike ''like new''. Never ridden off road, always garaged. It's under full factory warrantee until 4/30/2014. Tires have more than 50% tread. The bike is ready for the road, and it needs nothing. Color is, what BMW calls, ostra gray metalic. If you are local, your personal inspection is encouraged prior to bidding. Gautier, MS. is about 20 miles East of Biloxi. Clear title in hand.

BMW has released additional information breaking down its record 2011 sales. As previously reported, the German manufacturer sold a record 104,286 units in 2011, with a 7.4% year-on-year growth in the United States alone. According to BMW, the company sold 10,203 units in the U.S., making it the third largest market for BMW, behind Germany (20,002 units) and Italy (13,600 units).

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
