Hello all, So the time has come to put my 1995 BMW R1100GS for sale. it has been a faithful bike for me ever since I brought it home from Oakland, CA in 2009. There is a lot to say about this bike, but to start; it has about 38,000 miles however the speedometer broke and so I put on one with 118ish thousand miles showing. I still have the original speedo/odo.

This bike started out as a 1984 BMW R80RT. I found this in a barn and all fluids had been drained. I put fresh fluids, battery and gas and when I hit the starter it purred like a kitten. The touring fairing and other items were removed as they were in rough shape. I left the bike in original patina because I wasn't sure if I was gonna make a brat or a cafe racer. I ride this bike almost every day and it starts first time every time.

2004 BMW R1150R non-ABS oil head twin cylinder fuel injected six speed shaft driven motorcycle in good condition runs , rides , shifts just like it should the only thing that does not work is the horn .(and this riders knees) I am the second owner I got it in july this year from the original owner I gave $5500 for it. There is nothing wrong with it ( except for the horn) the problem is me, I sold my XR650L this spring because my knees would not allow me to throw a leg over it anymore (Too Tall ) so I bought this to replace it, But it's just a tad to heavy for the knees I'm afraid I'm going to drop it ( and myself ) when getting off it so before I destroy it I figured I'd try to sell it I know it's late in the season to sell so I'm pricing it to move so I don't have to store it this winter. This is a well taken care of bike, it's been stored indoors , The first owner added many nice features , Like the color Matched Parabellum Scout Fairing , the Sargent leather seats ( front and rear ) and the full size removable BMW Saddlebags the exhaust was modified to accomadate the Full size bags ( see photo ) it had to be lowered to get the left bag on .

From photos, you see bike has been well maintained over the years, and what it sold for less than 3 years ago. I've been riding since 1970 and find this BMW 1200 to be just as smooth and powerful as any of my other sport bikes (1100 Yamaha's and Honda's and one 1200 Harley Sportster). But, it's too tall for me. My loss. I recently sold another bike to a buyer (see my comments) and offered to deliver it to him for a price, which he accepted after dealing with motorcycle shipping services. In the photos you'll see the red BMW on a flatbed trailer. I could also use it to deliver it to you, as I used it to bring it home here, from the Midwest. Ninja joins Versys in getting a bigger engine Earlier this week, we confirmed engine details about a new Kawasaki Versys 1100, and found signs that suggest its 1,099cc Inline-Four engine will also be powering a replacement for the Ninja 1000SX. Motorcycle.com can now confirm that a Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX is on the way. Once again, homologation filings from Australia, where we first came across the evidence for the Versys 1100 are a font of knowledge.
