BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
The RnineT was purchased new in April 2014 as a retirement present to myself. The bike is in 100% showroom condition. Extras include the optional speed hump with seat pad, and the exhaust bracket (required when the rear subframe is removed (as I have done). The subframe will also go with the bike so you can make it 100% stock again; also the "RnineT" logo tank pad and an SAE pigtail directly wired to the battery for charging. The bike has been garaged since new and has been responsibly ridden by an adult rider (and MSF Rider Coach). The warranty is good until April 2017.
The nineT has been a head turner and joy to ride but I just don't ride it enough. My K1200GT is still my daily driver (soon to be replaced by a K1600GT). Local pickup or buyer will arrange and pay for shipping. Bank checks must clear before the bike will be released. Absolutely no test rides without cash in hand. |

Moto 3, Oral Engineering and the 2012 BMW S1000RR
Thu, 01 Mar 2012KTM and Honda may have been the main players at recent Jerez Moto 3 test but GP newcomers, Oral Engineering, weren’t too far behind with our very own Danny Webb posting the 15th best time. Italian based Oral are supplying engines to Mahindra Racing (Danny & Marcel Schrotter) and Ambroggio Next Racing (Simone Grotzki & Giulian Pedone). Mahindra have their motor housed in an all new, Italian tubular steel chassis, while Ambroggio have gone down the more economic route of using their 2011 Aprilia RSW 125 chassis.

Wed, 25 Sep 2013The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has announced the winner of its 2013 Design Awards, which asked students from across the world to submit their final graduating projects completed between October 2011 and July 2013. Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.
Turn your BMW into a fire engine
Wed, 16 Mar 2011German fire engine and pump manufacturer Rosenbauer have utilised the ubiquitous BMW 1200 boxer engine to produce a powerful and lightweight water pump. The engine runs as normal, using it's torqey qualities to power the high pressure waterpump attached. Firefighters can carry this compact pump closer to the fire, and go where the normal fire engine cannot reach.
