BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
Sherifs department just decommissioned a whole fleet of their motorcycles and replaced them with brand new ones. I purchased this directly from them for the purpose of long trips around the country but unexpectedly lost my job shortly thereafter. The motorcycle is in excellent mechanical condition and rides super smooth. I've never had something with so many amazing features and am letting it go with great hesitation. Currently all service is fully up to date with everything in good working order. Has some scuffs mostly on front faring from being a Police bike but nothing serious. Please see photos for more details.
Tires in good shape with plenty of tread. Motor runs quiet and has plenty of life in it (according to a BMW technician), clutch is smooth and responsive. Heated hand grips, heated seats, cruise control, power retractable windshield, accessory socket, onboard computer, ABS brakes. Clean California title and registration just issued and valid until December of 2017. Selling with no reserve price! Bike will go to the highest bidder. PLEASE NO BIDDERS WITH ZERO FEEDBACK, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED unless you contact me prior to bidding. Bid with confidence, I've sold lots of valuable items on ebay before and all with positive outcomes. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see it first hand? Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup. A $500 deposit is required via PayPal within 24 hours of auction end and pickup within 7 days. |

BMW Design Chief David Robb Steps Down; Edgar Heinrich Named Successor

A native of Boston, Mass., Robb joined BMW as its design chief in 1993, and over the ensuing 18 years expanded the company’s product line to include the top selling R1200GS, the six-cylinder K1600GT and GTL, and the S1000RR superbike (that’s him on the far right in the picture above). The 56-year-old’s latest design to enter production are the C600 Sport and C650GT maxi-scooters.
