Great bike for sale! 2009 BMW 1200 GS with lots of extras. -BMW Adventure pannier mount and aluminum side panniers -Tubeless spoked wheel upgrade -H&B front and engine crash bars -PIAA aux lights -BMW Navigation III navigation system -BMW battery tender -BMW tank case -BMW trunk case -throttle lock -road pegs -brake pedal extender I have maintenance records and some new maintenance parts and tools. 36,000 mile maintenance recently performed at dealership. All fluids changed, valves adjusted and all warranty/recall work (including replacing fuel strip). Mileage 35,477 I'm only selling because I don't ride much anymore. BMW Sets New Annual Record for Motorcycle Sales – With One Month Still to Go

Even more impressively, BMW reached that mark by the end of November and still has a whole month’s worth of sales to pad its record. In 2012, BMW sold 106,358 motorcycles and scooters to set a new company record.

2007-2008 BMW K1200R, K1200S Recalled for Foaming Brake Fluid
Tue, 16 Oct 2012BMW is issuing a recall on the 2007-2008 K1200S, K1200R and K1200R Sport models due to a problem with the front brake hydraulics. In long rides at high rpms, engine vibrations may cause the full front brake fluid to foam. This would occur at a very narrow rev range and only when the brake fluid reservoir is filled to maximum.
