California BMW R1100 RTP this bike was professionally converted in 2010 from a CHP bike to a Beautiful blue touring bike. Clean registration until Feburary 2017. Bike was stored in a garage for most of its life. Bike starts right up and warms up in just a couple of minutes. Bike starts right up every time.Was fully converted into a touring bike with side cases. Bike has never given me any problems. Tires are in good conditon. Bike currently is slipping out of first gear into neutral. Bike runs fine once its in second gear. Bike never been in an accident. Just once didn't put down the kickstand properly and the mirror broke. I have the Maintance manual and supplementary riders manual. Bike was purchase in 2010 for $5055 at Cal Coast motorsports I have all the receipts and services done since then. Bike was in winterized storage from 2012-2015 Rear Crash bars-$550 Upper rear Crash bar-$50 Extra keys -$50 Cover -$75 top and side bmw cases -$900 Ztechnik engine guard- $313 Battery$75 Buyer is responsible for pickup and shipping. Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles
Wed, 06 Feb 2013More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.
BMW Reports 2012 Sales Results
Tue, 19 Mar 2013BMW released its year-end 2012 financial report, reporting revenues of 1.49 billion euros (US$1.93 billion) from its motorcycle business in 2012, up from 1.44 billion euros in 2011. The increased revenues came in a record year for BMW with the company selling an all-time record of 106,358 motorcycles in 2012. Despite the increase in sales revenue, BMW reported a much smaller profit from its motorcycle business, earning 9 million euros (US$11.6 million) in 2012, compared to 45 million euros in 2011.
2014 BMW C evolution Electric Scooter Revealed
Tue, 10 Sep 2013BMW has expanded its maxi-scooter lineup with a new electric-powered model. Officially revealed after a year of testing at various events in Europe such as the 2012 London Olympics, the BMW C evolution is now ready for production, joining the gas-powered C650GT and C600 Sport. The C evolution is powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor claiming an European Union-rated 15 hp, though if you really strain the motor peak output can reach 47 hp.
