The BMW R1200 C was manfactured from 1997-2004. World wide production 40,218. Designed by BMW head designer David Robb.This hign tech innovative sophisticated design offers you a ride like it did  "007" James Bond in the movie  "Tomorrow Never Dies" The bike was as spectular as the action.

The bike features a frameless design utilzing the engine and drive shaft as the main structure. It has monocot suspension, alloy wheels ,heated grips, ABS Bemke brakes, chrome engine guard, leather bags and a corbin seat.

BMW Motorrad has announced U.S. pricing for the new 2013 R1200GS, with the German company’s updated flagship adventure tourer starting at $15,800. Recently reviewed by our EiC Kevin Duke, the 2013 BMW R1200GS is nearly completely re-designed, with the most notable new feature being a new 1170cc boxer engine with small radiators providing what BMW calls “Precision Cooling“.

James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.

Although the one pictured doesn’t look that worn it’s a recent replacement for the one I’ve been using ever since I passed my test two years ago. The previous incarnation met its fate in Africa at the hands of a knobbly tyre and chain. It has been in constant use this summer.
