1998 BMW R1200C Canyon Red "Chrome Head" fuel injected boxer motor. This bike is in great condition. No scratches or dents, only normal signs of wear. Has been maintained and garage kept its entire life while on a battery tender. Has never been dropped or dumped. Always maintained with records of maintenance and purchases. Just installed a brand new BMW gel battery, has Montana passenger seat with grab rail and seat trim, luggage rack, factory quick release saddlebags, ABS brakes, Cee Baileys windshield. Bridgestone BT-023 tyre tested
Fri, 19 Mar 2010Replacing the BT-021, the 023 has a uniform carcass construction but has two different compounds of rubber to alter its performance. The inner rubber is harder for increased life while the rubber on the tyre’s edges is softer for outright grip. On the brief dry sections of our ride the 023 seemed to get up to working temperature rapidly and delivered good dry grip, certainly more than enough for most road riders if you are honest about your riding ability.
2014 BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy Announced
Fri, 20 Dec 2013After holding three events in the southern hemisphere, the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy will go north in September 2014, to Canada. Billed as the GS riders’ Olympics, the biennial competition pits teams representing different countries against one another in a number of challenges testing their riding skills. Previous competitions had competitors riding the F800GS but for 2014, the GS Trophy will switch to the liquid-cooled R1200GS.
BMW Concept Ninety Marks Motorrad’s 90th Anniversary and 40 Years of BMW R90S
Fri, 24 May 2013BMW revealed a new concept to mark the company’s 90th year in the motorcycle business while also paying tribute to a classic: the BMW R90S. (UPDATED with video.) The product of a collaboration between the BMW Motorrad Design studio and Roland Sands Designs, the BMW Concept Ninety will be displayed alongside other classic BMW motorcycles at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, May 24-26 in Italy. The Concept Ninety carries many styling cues from the R90S, BMW’s classic superbike.
